We kindly ask that you book your session in advance—Long Acre is a private property, so we can’t accept walk-ins or unannounced visits.

FAQ
Payments and cancellations.
To secure your session, we ask for 20% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due one week before your shoot. If you need to cancel, just let us know directly at least 14 days before your session for a full refund of your deposit. Need to reschedule? No problem—you can do that up to 7 days before your session (unless the weather has other plans, of course, and it’s raining—then we’ll work with you to find the best alternative!).
How long does it take to get our photos?
You’ll get a link to your online photo gallery within 14 days of your session—ready to view, download, and share with your favourite people! If you need your photos a little sooner, just reach out and we’ll do our best to help. For weddings, it might take a bit longer because there are so many special moments to go through, but we promise it’ll be worth the wait!
How many photos do we recieve?
We provide 30 carefully edited photos we believe best capture the heart of your session—those genuine moments, smiles, and connections. But we also include all the other images taken on the day, because sometimes the camera catches something uniquely meaningful to you—something we may not even notice, but holds a special place in your heart. We want you to have it all, so you can choose the moments that matter most to you.
What should we wear for our session?
Do you offer albums or prints?
For mini sessions, we stick to our beautiful property in Lovedale, but for full family and couple sessions, we’re happy to travel up to 40km from Lovedale. When it comes to weddings, we cover everywhere from Newcastle to Singleton, and from Wollombi to Port Stephens. If you have a special location in mind that’s a little outside these areas, just get in touch—we’d love to chat about making it happen!
Do you travel for photoshoots?
This is a paragraph. Click edit and enter your own text. You can make changes like making the text bold, underline or italic. This is a great place for you to tell your clients more about your story and to describe the type of photographer.
What happens if it's raining?
If it rains on the day of your session, don’t stress—we’ve got options! If you’re dreaming of outdoor photos, you’re more than welcome to reschedule to another date. But if you’re happy to go ahead, we can still capture beautiful moments in our amazing rustic barn. It’s full of charm and character, making it the perfect backup location for stunning photos, rain or shine.
When is the best time for a session?
Golden and Blue hour, which is one hour before and one hour after sunset and sunrise. The time of your session will greatly effect the outcome of your photos.
Where will the photos be taken?
We’ve created something truly special—15 acres of private country charm, purposefully designed to give you more variety (and beauty!) than most places ever could. Located in heart of the Hunter Valley, Lovedale. Our session takes you across three stunning photo locations: a near 100-year-old rustic barn full of character, vibrant cottage gardens bursting with colour, and open rural landscapes that capture the magic of the countryside. You’re welcome to explore all three or focus on just one—whatever suits your style. And of course, we’ll make the most of what time and weather allow on the day!
What happens if my kids aren't behaving?
If your kids aren’t quite in the mood during the photo shoot—don’t worry, it’s completely normal! Sometimes a little break or a quick game can help them reset and feel more relaxed. Our photographers have plenty of experience working with kids and know exactly how unpredictable (and hilarious) they can be, which helps keep things calm and fun. One helpful tip: save any sugary treats for after the shoot. We’ve learned over the years that excited little ones plus sugar can lead to some wild energy! Keeping things relaxed and low-pressure is the best way to capture those genuine, joyful moments.
Can we bring our pets?
Of course! We’ve had the joy of photographing all kinds of pets and know that your fur babies are truly part of the family. Just keep in mind that our property is surrounded by wildlife like kangaroos and nearby cows, so if your pet isn’t used to this kind of environment, we recommend keeping them on a lead to keep everyone safe and happy
